Teaching and Coaching

Deborah has taught and coached singing, piano and theory for as long as she can remember. She has successfully taught singing at all levels from amateur to professional. She worked as a partner in the Stagecoach Theatre Arts Schools for four years, giving children with a flair for the performing arts a “stepping-stone” to the professional world of performing.

She has had student successes from opera to musical theatre and regularly runs workshops for Cameron Mackintosh on Les Miserables as well as being the vocal facilitator for Delfont Mackintosh at the Prince of Wales Theatre.

Deborah has great experience in teaching from beginners to diploma and beyond. Her success has been in helping talented youngsters to succeed in finding their future musical goals. Her pupils have gone on to study an Cambridge University with singing scholarships, to study Opera at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Kings college Canterbury with music scholarships.

Deborah’s interest in helping others to understand more about the history and theory of music has also led to her develop classes and lectures for people of all levels of musical understanding to learn more about Western Music, its composers and how it came to be what it is today.
